"Each of us can discover in Joseph – the man who goes unnoticed, a daily, discreet and hidden presence – an intercessor, a support and a guide in times of trouble.
Saint Joseph reminds us that those who appear hidden or in the shadows can play an incomparable role in the history of salvation."
APOSTOLIC LETTER, PATRIS CORDE
Why St Joseph?
The story of St Joseph taking his family on the Flight into Egypt encourages us in this challenging season that we are journeying through. We call on the intercession of St Joseph, firm in our hope that God is with us on our journey, guiding our steps.
We pray especially that young people, who are the hope of the Church, would hear the Call of Christ to open their hearts to seek His will and discover their Vocation.
"We must be convinced that, in consideration of his great merits, God will not refuse St. Joseph any grace he asks for those who honor him."
ST. ALPHONSUS LIGUORI
The Novena to St Joseph
When
Mon 29th Nov - Wed 8th Dec
Who
Everyone is welcome to join the Novena to St. Joseph
How
We will live stream from the Cathedral daily from 7pm
Why
Our prayer will be for an increase in Vocations: that young people of our Diocese would perceive the Holy Spirit's movement in their hearts, that the Lord will bring to light and help us to recognise those who He has called to the priesthood and religious life, and that they may be willing and enabled to play their part in the history of salvation.
